Dardanus setifer (H. Milne Edwards, 1836)

Family Diogenidae (Left-handed hermit crabs).

Dardanus is genus of mostly large hermit crabs found in shallow waters to deeper slopes, and in tropical, subtropical, to temperate latitudes.

Dardanus setifer can be found on reef flats, seagrass beds, mangroves, and reef slopes, on sand and mud substrates.

Similar to Dardanus crassimanus und Dardanus scutellatus.
