Dardanus crassimanus (H. Milne Edwards, 1836)

Overall reddish color, mauve eyestalks with a thin white distal band and light purple banded leg joints. Scutes and legs are covered with white hair tips. A large, very active species.

The hermit lives under stones, in the reef and on sandy-muddy zones with seagrass.
