Cadlina limbaughorum have black rhinophores and gills, and no yellow markings.
Similar is Cadlina flavomaculata with black rhinophores, yellow spots and margin. Cadlina luteomarginata has a yellow marginal band. Cadlina modesta has yellow specks, and Cadlina sparsa has a series of small spots with yellow centers.
Cadlina limbaughorum feeds on the sponges genus Axinella, Dysidea and Leiosella.
