Vexillum (Pusia) ebenus (Lamarck, 1811)

The common name of Vexillum (Pusia) ebenus is ebony mitre. This mitre snail is distributed in European waters and in the Mediterranean Sea.
Its a marine gastropod mollusk in the new family Costellariidae, the ribbed miters.The snails of the family new Costellariidae and the family Mitridae have similar shells, but anatomical differences.It is very difficult to identify the snails.Many names have been given to Vexillum (Pusia) ebenus.
