Tylodina perversa, common names the Yellow tylodina or Yellow umbrella slug. This is a species of sea snail or false limpet, a marine opisthobranch gastropod mollusk in the family Tylodinidae.
It has a limpet-like shell which is composed primarily of protein, not calcium carbonate.Tylodina perversa lives in the Mediterranean Sea, northeast Atlantic, at least as far as British Isles.
The Yellow umbrella slug is a dietary specialist,feeds on the sponge Aplysina aerophoba,because of that it is not suitable for an aquarium.The slug would inevitably die of starvation.
