Distribution:
Eastern Atlantic: off west Africa from Senegal to Guinea, Cape Verde, Ile de Roumé and Ile de Anno Bon. Reported from São Tomé Island.

Found on rocky shores of coastal waters. Oviparous.
Eggs are demersal and adhesive.
