Dendrophyllia ramea (Linnaeus, 1758)

This type of coral is usually found only below 30 meters, rather from 40 to well below.
They do not live on light, so they are azooxanthellate and have to be actively fed.

They are similar to corals of the genus Tubastrea etc.

No animal for the beginner, with feeding and in the case by the moderate temperature of the Mediterranean Sea something for specialists in the range of cooler temperartures.
