Info

Dictyopteris delicatula is a rather inconspicuous golden-brown seaweed that has become very widespread.
Marine algae produce oxygen through photosynthesis, are available to herbivorous marine animals in the food chain and, depending on their size and density, can offer juvenile marine animals such as fish, baby turtles and many invertebrates protection from predators.

Marine algae produce more oxygen than all the world's rainforests put together, a powerful argument for protecting our oceans and marine algae
