Info

Solidobalanus engbergi is a sessile barnacle that is always associated with hydrocorals of the genus Allopora, family Stylasteridae.
The reference book "The New Beachcomber's Guide to the Pacific Northwest" states that the barnacle is found in the intertidal and subtidal depth ranges, exact water depths in meters are not currently available.

Inside the outer carapace is a filter feeding barnacle.

This barnacle is also known as Balanus engbergi Pilsbry, 1921.
